Math and Science

For Everyone

Some things that I I think are great in general:
  • TED talks - a great catalogue of video presentations about all sorts of interesting things, especially new technological advances.
  • The Story of Stuff - a good resource for reminding ourselves how to be responsible with the things we use
  • Okanagan Regional Library - having access to free books, videos, and online services without contibuting the waste associated with buying new... what's not to like!
  • Life without Plastic - a great place to find items that aren't made of potentially harmful/junky plastics
  • Grow your own food if you can! This one small thing helps solve MANY of the big issues in our world today from Climate Change to Social Justice. Check out this TED talk that lays it all out.
  • When you go out to a restaurant, bring your own containers for take out, saves on packaging waste, and your food was likely to end up in one of your own containers anyways!
  • Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts by Les and Leslie Parrott - marriage is hard, but this is a great book to prepare for or work on a marriage. Get it from the library here or borrow it from me.
  • The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman - a great way to understand you & those you're in relationship (of any sort) with. Get it from the library here or borrow it from me.
  • Baby Led Weaning by Gill Rapley - a great way to introduce solid foods to young children. Get it from the library here or borrow it from me.
  • The More of Less by Joshua Becker - all about living a more intentional life by minimizing the material possessions we own. Get it from the library here or borrow it from me.
